This is the result of the conjunction of two events. On the one hand my discovery of the book "David Hockney. My window", published in 2019 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. It brings together a series of digital paintings that the great David Hockney had made from his window between 2009 and 2012. So I asked myself, why don't I do what I see from mine? I also remember that I had just seen Yago Hortal's exhibition "That was before, this is now" at the Vila Casas Foundation. I liked so much the use of industrial colors, so intense and so pure, that my work was inevitably influenced. The urban landscape that I see from my window is the old workshop in Poble-sec (Barcelona), "MYRGA - Talleres Gráficas M. y R. Gliabert", famous for its planners and calendars.
I have painted this digital work with an MS Surface. I have used techniques analogous to those of traditional painting, using only the types of brushes and paints that the software offers me.
If you prefer the work on paper choose the printed edition, if you are a fan of technology choose the digital edition. Technical specifications appear below.
